Ladies and gentlemen, your captain is speaking.
Do you know the story of Lawrence Sperry? In 1914, he literally walked on the wings of his plane mid-flight just to show off his new invention: the autopilot. I feel like as we move through this year, we are all standing on that wing. We’re finally letting go of the controls and seeing if the systems we’ve built can actually fly.
The Era of the "Agent"
For a while, I’ve been using AI like a smart encyclopedia. But now, everything is shifting. We’re moving from Chatbots to Agents. I’m actually planning to let an AI agent organize a full trip to Japan for me—handling the flights, hotels, and even the airport transfers with my own budget. It’s a bit nerve-wracking to give a piece of software that much power, but that’s the "Action" era for you.
Roommates in Tracksuits?
It’s not just digital, though. The Neo robot from 1X is finally making its way into homes. It’s a "soft" humanoid—it literally wears a tracksuit. The goal? To have a robot that can handle the messy reality of a kitchen or a laundry room without breaking things. I’ve been following this closely, and I think we’re closer to a real-life Rosie the Robot than most people realize.
Back to the Moon
While we’re fixing things at home, NASA’s Artemis II mission is preparing to take humans around the Moon for the first time in over 50 years. I get goosebumps just thinking about the photos they’ll bring back. It’s a reminder that even with all this automation, the human spirit of exploration is still the one calling the shots.
I’ve put together a much more detailed breakdown of these 5 major routes for the year over on the main site. If you want to see the technical specs and my full predictions, you should definitely check it out.
